I love the attached article I’m introducing here.
As a coach, I make it my life work to help people find more time for things that improve their fulfillment, contentment and quality of life.
As we launch into the 'wrap' stage of another year, I am settling cozily into my reflection and planning month, December. Tough for me to do, since I am hugely task-driven. My habit of sitting down to write, or plan, or think is slowly improving only because of my recent disciplines of daily prayer. This is actually teaching me how much value comes from stopping, pausing, listening, 'waiting before work'. I wanted to share with you my favourite article of the year so far, all about tasks that help you make more of your precious time over the long haul. This is a quick read packed with wisdom that I hear all the time and instinctively know as true.
My Take-aways in order to ‘compound my time’ rather than waste it:
1. Reflect
2. Unplug and Read (here is an article on how reading and classical literature books improve brain power and our lives)
3. Discuss Ideas
4. Pause, Walk, Nap
5. Embrace Botched Experiments
Finally, find a non-family accountability partner who you will invite to encourage you to create a plan and put some action steps in your calendar as you build new and necessary habits for mega success and time well spent.
Which one of these in the article are you already winning on??
